얼마전 웹서핑을 하다가 우연히 

찰리 멍거의 마지막 인터뷰를 보게 되어 그 내용을 간단히 정리코자 한다.

인터뷰 내용 중 몇 가지 인상에 남는 것을 정리한다.

1. 인생 철학 : 나에게 주어진 것을 가지고 최선을 다해라

“I just played the hand I was dealt in order to get as much advantage as I could. And that’s what everybody else does too. They play the hand that was dealt to get as much advantage as they possibly can.”

2. 자기 인식 : 자신 역량의 한계를 알아야 한다.

“Knowing your circle of competency. Right. And that kept me away from those businesses totally… But I’m not all that pleased. I could have done a lot better if I had been a little smarter.”

3. 포기 금물 : 참고 견뎌야 한다.

“You have to soldier through it. If you have to walk through the streets crying for a few hours a day, go ahead. But you can’t quit.”

4. 직업적 성공의 3 원칙 (1. 자신이 사지 않을 것을 팔지 마라, 2. 존경하지 않는 사람을 위해 일하지 말라, 3. 즐겁게 함께 할 사람과만 일하라)

1. Don’t sell anything you wouldn’t buy yourself.

2. Don’t work for anyone you don’t respect.

3. Work only with people you enjoy.
